Canadian forces have ambushed a German tank column in the mountains. The German forces must make a push up the hill to try and clear the way for further convoys. The central Stockpile flag controls the ticket bleed.
========================= Ambush a Battlefield 1942 map by RussianComrade ========================= Gametypes: Conquest, Coop/SP Map Type: Assault Map Size: Small Vehicles: None Tools Used: - Battlecraft 42 & Editor42 (map creation and editing, pathmapping) - Photoshop 7.0 (skinning, skybox editing) - winRFA (extracting RFA files), packRFA (packing RFA files) - SinglePlayer Creator (basic SP support) - GenPathMaps (converting pathmaps for editing) - Notepad (coding) - Terragen (skybox creation) ABOUT This is a little map I chucked together in an afternoon. The Canadians have trapped a passing German armoured column in the valley below and now the Germans need to clear out the hilltop outpost so they can clear a path through the valley. There's not many ways to get up the hill and the Allied team definitely has the high ground, so the Germans will need to slug their way to the top and try to grab a foothold. The Stockpile control point in the center of the action is the only one that controls ticket bleed. The Germans have a few different points in the valley they can choose to spawn in to attack from different directions, or even start on the opposing cliff for snipers to get a shot at the defenders (once you leave this vantage point you won't be able to climb back up, however). Since the Anti-Tank class is kinda useless, I replaced it with a Rifleman class which is pretty much the Assault class but with a rifle (M1 Garand for Allies and K98 for Axis). If you have the RC's Super Mappack installed, the map will automatically apply the mod's changes to the AI and weapon sounds. INSTALLATION Move the .rfa file to your levels directory, in my case: C: -> Program Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 -> Mods -> bf1942 -> Archives -> bf1942 -> levels For uninstalling, just delete Ambush.rfa. LEGAL STUFF You can give it out to your friends, edit it, or make new maps based on it but just don't take credit for stuff you didn't do, or make money out of it. That's just rude. If this busts your computer in any way, I'm not responsible. Sorry, but it was your decision to put it on your computer. CREDITS EA/Dice. ctz for weather effects.
