the us airborne troops have to fight their way along the rur valley. strong german defence in a small town at the end of the valley. control the radar station to get airforce support spawnpoints.

The maps were created to lan sessions with 4 up to 32 people. finally i decided to rework and a make an airborne mappack out of it. its some time im out of bf2 modding so sorry about missing botsupport. but better releasing a good mp mappack then a bad SP one. there still some concepts around for further maps, but this might be my last mappack the mother of all WW2shooter bf1942. needed installations: - battelield1942 - road to rome extension following maps are included RTR_airborne_Rurtal.rfa The Us troops drop into a small valley in the eifel mountains, near the deathtrail of huertgenwald. fight your way trough the natural valley. the one who controls the radar station , gets airsupport spawnpoints! best played with 4 - 16 players RTR_Festung.rfa This is a mapscenario based on a desert coastline. us airbornetroops supported by ship drop on the coastline to cross the beach and capture the strong defended german fortress. destroy the radar to stop german aircraft spawns! best played with 6 - 32 players RTR_Paradiesplatz.rfa Germany 1944, city of dueren. after heavy bombing, the us troops drop right into the city for intense streetfights. the german defence is strong and fanatic. so fighting house to house will be the way to go. beware of the german anti tank guns and sniper! best played with 6 - 16 players RTR_wintertraum.rfa The peacefull looking alps turn into a bloody splattered snowgrave. this is one of the larger maps best played with 6 - 32 players RTRSub_Air_Abenden.rfa Both troops drop on an open field with one bunker to capture. Two more flags on both sides of the mp for vehicle and artillery support. The dropspawnpoint cant be captured. so you will get right back into action. works for 2 but best played with 6 - 16 players valleys,desert,snowy mountains,urban and a lot of fun known issues: i got some minor texture issues when testing. just looked like mixed textures from bf42 and rtr on a sherman tank. also some lightmaps are not correct, but couldnt fix that. all the way this are very small known issues. they dont disturb the gamefeeling in any way. supported : multiplayer game types: Conquest NOT supported : singleplayer/botsupport for an optimised atmosphere enable lightmaps and environment mapping. lot of work has been put into these maps to create a lifelike atmosphere and authentical feeling for the player. tools used : Battlecraft 1942 (object placement objectlightmaps) Installation : extract the sm_ZWEIT.rfa file to the folowing directory : X:\yourpath\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels with 'X' the letter of the drive where you installed your battlefield game for further contact http://www.subthiel.de or looking for spacehoshi on moddb.com all levels Created by Harry Thiel (spacehoshi)
